This role focuses on achieving quarterly sales targets, market analysis, coordinating new product introductions, and managing pricing and cooperation with the Central team.We offer:Location - comfortable office in JohannesburgOpportunity to work for a financially strong, fast-growing multinational companyConstant interaction with global teams of professionalsInternational career opportunitiesAccess to continuous professional development: training, certification programs, events, and team buildingsAttractive remuneration packageKey functions:Strategy and PlanningMarket Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to understand the demand for pre-owned Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, Watch) in South Africa.Business Plan Development: Create a detailed business plan outlining the setup, operational strategy, and financial projections for the Trade-In business.Goal Setting: Define short-term and long-term objectives, KPIs, and milestones for the Trade-In program.Partnership and Relationship ManagementVendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with Apple Authorized Resellers and other key stakeholders.Partnership Development: Identify and secure partnerships with logistics, refurbishment, and recycling partners.Negotiations: Negotiate terms with partners to ensure favorable conditions for the Trade-In program.Operational SetupProgram Implementation: Oversee the setup of the Trade-In program, including processes for device intake, refurbishment, grading, and resale.Logistics Coordination: Develop and manage logistics for device collection, storage, and distribution.Inventory Management: Implement a system for tracking inventory, ensuring the availability of A and B Grade devices for resale.Sales and MarketingSales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy for pre-owned devices through ASBIS's pre-owned store and Apple Authorized Resellers.Marketing Campaigns: Plan and launch marketing campaigns to promote the Trade-In program and the sale of pre-owned devices.Customer Engagement: Enhance customer engagement and satisfaction by providing excellent service and addressing customer feedback.Financial ManagementBudget Management: Manage the budget for the Trade-In program, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Financial Reporting: Monitor and report on the financial performance of the Trade-In program, analyzing profitability and ROI.Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies for pre-owned devices to ensure competitiveness in the market.Compliance and Quality ControlRegulatory Compliance: Ensure that the Trade-In program complies with local laws and regulations regarding electronic waste and consumer protection.Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure all pre-owned devices meet Apple's standards for A and B Grade devices.Data Security: Ensure all devices are securely wiped of personal data before resale.Team ManagementTeam Building: Recruit, train, and manage a team to support the Trade-In program.Performance Monitoring: Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to ensure the team meets program objectives.Professional Development: Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.Reporting and AnalysisPerformance Tracking: Track the performance of the Trade-In program against set KPIs and objectives.Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress and performance of the Trade-In program.By focusing on these key functions, the BDM for the Apple Trade-In program will be well-equipped to successfully establish and grow the business in South Africa, ensuring a smooth setup and sustainable operations.Qualifications and skills:Master's or bachelor's degreeSuccessful work experience in B2B sales position 3+ years (BDM, Product Manager)Successful work experience in solutions sales or SaaS SalesProven knowledge of the local marketExcellent customer orientation and networking skillsProven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role.Focus on the achievement of results, stress tolerance, good analytical skills, a systematic approach to work, independence, and responsibility in decision making.We are on a mission to bring technology to everyone and are looking for a new team member.
