Are you someone who can: Create integrated business processes, technologies, information and application architectural frameworks and high-level roadmap for the implementation of the architecture aligned to applicable FirstRand standards.Manage people by executing management responsibilities and create an environment that encourages employee growth and performance excellence.Demonstrate leadership behavior through personal involvement, commitment and dedication in support of organizational values.Apply a customer-centric approach, to ensure customer satisfaction.Focus on tactical service plans to deliver and continuously provide a consistent, seamless and positive customer experience.Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders, that support thought leadership, innovative and integrated practice solutions.Draw up a budget aligned to tactical delivery plans, monitor effectiveness and report on variances.Manage expenditure planning and reporting within approved budget parameters.Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships within FNB and/or across the FRG.Ensure IT governance approvals of technology solutions, oversee relevant HR Digitization initiatives and represents relevant business areas in different capacities at IT Governance and Architecture forums to ensure alignment with applicable FirstRand standards and achievement of business objectives.Manage Application Architecture Operational processes to ensure optimal costing and data integrity aligned to best practice for Enterprise Architecture.Deliver proof of concept solutions/prototypes and evaluate fit for purpose of relevant solutions for business areas in area of responsibility. You will be an ideal candidate if you have: Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science or equivalent IT degreePreferred Qualification: Relevant Postgraduate IT degree or DiplomaExperience: 5 to 8 years' experience in software, infrastructure, and IT security experience of which at least 2 to 4 years as a specialist in Solutions / Software / Systems ArchitectureTechnical Skills: Architectural Design: Proficiency in designing scalable and reliable architectures.Experience with architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, SOA, MVC).Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).Frameworks and Platforms: Familiarity with various frameworks and platforms (e.g., .NET, Spring, Angular, React)Cloud Computing: Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and services.DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Database Management: Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).Security: Knowledge of security best practices and standards (e.g., OWASP, PCI-DSS).Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and encryption techniques.Integration: Experience with integration techniques and tools (e.g., RESTful APIs, SOAP, message queues).Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.Experience leading technical teams and guiding project development.Problem-Solving: Proficient in identifying and resolving architectural and technical challenges.Analytical thinking and strong decision-making skills.Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience in facilitating discussions and driving consensus.Project Management: Understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Ability to manage project timelines and deliverablesDocumentation: Proficiency in creating architectural documentation and technical specifications.Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest technology trends and advancements.Willingness to pursue certifications and training relevant to the role.
