ROLE OVERVIEW The Senior Solution Architect is an industry respected pre-sales, technology and solution focused specialist who creates excellent client relationships with his technical expertise and consultative approach.
The Senior Solutions Architect is being viewed as a trusted technical advisor by our client and a mentor to junior staff in the same team.
Through his thought leadership ability, he is expected to display an excellent technical acumen and take the lead in technical forums.
The Senior Solution Architect primary responsibility is the technical design of business solutions with a great focus on demand generation.
He is required to assist with the transition of projects from presales to delivery and ensure the geral profitability of his account base.
The Senior Solutions Architect provide pre- sales technical support and expertise in analysing client requirements, in conjunction with the client's current architecture and system capabilities, ensuring technical solutions will accomplish the client's business objectives.
PROPOSAL WRITING AND TEAM DYNAMIC The Senior Solutions Architect demonstrate strong client engagement skills, predominantly in the Partner and Key client segments.
This requires the ability to consult as the Trusted Technical Advisor, participate and or lead in scope of work determination, product pricing and completing of RFP/RFI responses.
The Solution Architect works closely with the Client Manager throughout these and other processes and will also assist in the decision to pursue or abort a deal.
They assist with the determination of outsourcing, product pricing and collaborates with the Client Manager and Professional Services to develop holistic solutions.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES 1.3.1 TECHNICAL: SOLUTION DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE AND MANAGEMENT ? Capture and define requirements, stakeholder management, and technical solution design ? Understand and interpret both business and technical requirements and develop solutions accordingly ? Provide advice across all technology domains within Hybrid Networking and bring together infrastructure subject matter experts, professional services, and project delivery teams to help create end- to-end Managed Solutions ? Define, document, and be accountable for the definition of Dimension Data's and partner/vendor Solutions that meet our client business requirements ? Ensure that projects and outcomes are developed in alignment with predefined and best practice/ architectural standards ? Plan, manage and track assigned opportunities to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and within the scope ? Complete responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) related to Dimension Data's Intelligent Infrastructure products stack.
? Stay current with technological developments and foster relationships with key vendors and partners.
? Define, manage and monitor the work performance of technical solutions, vendor, and stakeholder management which also includes program effectiveness based on our strategy.
? Provide input to Product Development and industry demand ? Ensure stable working technical solutions and/or service that meets the customer's requirements by implementing necessary quality control processes; 1.4 BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS The Solution Architect is expected to be a good team player and exhibit the required level of management skills required from middle-level managers.
He or she practices two-way communication and listens to understands other's points of view.
Senior Solutions Architects have exceptional analytical and consulting capabilities.
They demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success.
They demonstrate well-developed presentation skills and a solid client orientation aptitude.
The successful individual is confident and an experienced public speaker.
He will be required to participate in product launches and public events of a highly technical nature.
It is critical that the individual can articulate his technical expertise clear and confident and instill a high level of trust with his audience.
Responsible for formulating a business process, technology, information, and application architectural framework at the sub-project level and for providing a high-level roadmap for the implementation of the architecture.
The architecture includes the following artifacts that will be developed and or assembled by the enterprise architects: Technologies, information and application artifacts, and related metadata Policies Procedures Standards Principals Objectives.
Provides guidance to small and medium projects or sub-projects within larger projects of moderate complexity.
May consult with domain architects and peers involved in implementation projects.
Requirements ? The below requirements are advantageous ? TOGAF and / or Zachman Frameworks ? ITILL ? SAFe ? Ability to Architect across Cisco Domains (DC, Collaboration, Networking and Security) ? Pre-Sales experience in Cisco, FortiGate, Velocloud, ? Unified Communications (Avaya and Cisco IPT) ? SD-WAN and SD-Access as well as internet MPLS Architectures ? Cloud computing (Azure, AWS and Google) ? Professional Business Writing ? Real-time business decision making ? Excellent presentation Skills
