Job Summary: As a Solar Sales Consultant, the successful incumbent will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions to Commercial and Industrial customers.
The primary goal will be to increase solar sales, contribute to sustainable energy initiatives, and drive business growth for the company.
Duties & Responsibilities: Identify and engage with potential customers through various means, including cold calling, referrals, networking and attending industry events.Develop and maintain a database of leads and effectively prioritize them for sales outreach.Educate customers on the advantages of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental benefits, and available incentives.Explain the solar installation process, system components, and financing options to potential customers.Visit customers' locations to evaluate their energy needs, roof suitability, and sun exposure to determine the optimal solar system size and design.Work with design and engineering team to create personalized solar energy proposals based on site assessments and customer preferences.Present proposals to customers, address their questions and concerns, and negotiate terms to secure contracts.Assist customers in completing necessary paperwork and contracts for solar system installation, financing and incentives.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and addressing any post-sale inquiries or concerns.Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering or Related field is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence potential customers.Proven experience in sales, preferably in solar energy, renewable energy, or a related industry.Familiarity with solar energy products, systems and industry trends.Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and meet sales targets.Ability to understand technical aspects of solar energy systems and convey this knowledge in a clear and accessible manner to customers.Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate customer schedules and achieve sales goals.Willingness to travel within and outside SA to pursue sales targets.
