A leading Engineering Firm based in the Western Cape is looking for a Solar Project Manager to join their team!Key RequirementsSACPCMP registration or similar preferableProject Management Degree / Diploma / Certificate5 Years ExperienceExcellent communication skills.Ability to delegate tasks.Ability to prioritize activities.Ability to motivate his team.Must work well in a team.Possess great problem-solving skills.Flexible and transparent planning.Foresight into risk management.Ability to complete tasks and get the job done.Attention to detail.Ability to understand and interpret drawings.Ability to identify and rectify issues on design.Computer literate (MS Office suite)Must be able to rectify any issues that may arise.ResponsibilitiesOwner of project budgets and must be updated for weekly reporting – Build smart / CandyProject schedulingProject reportingProject scope of works development and managementProject contracts managementProject logistics managementProject equipment ordering and BOQ setupProject installation quality controlProject Health and Safety responsibilitiesProject commissioning leaderClient liaising and relationship managementTechnician management (allocated to your project)Subcontractor appointments and managementAssess and accept engineering designsDesign of solar PV energy systemsAssist with any operations and maintenance issues on all sites under SLA with AEADevelopment of department tools and documentsDevelopment & delivery of project handover file and relevant documents to clientEnsure all ISO9001, ISO45001 and SANS 10142 compliances are met during construction
