Software Test Analyst

Details of the offer

As a Software Test Analyst, you will be responsible for testing features and enhancements developed by the development team. You will participate in our Agile software development process by analysing application requirements, design documents, and user stories, developing comprehensive test structures and test plans, executing tests and analysing results so that software solutions meet business expectations.

Working environment & travel: Remote exceptionally busy, team-orientated environment, task driven
Working hours: 08h30 to 17h00
Key Deliverables:
Responsibilities will include:

Analyse features and enhancements and create comprehensive test plans.
Work with Product Manager on features and enhancement testing scenarios.
Document all test plans and test cases in Jira.
Test features, enhancements and fixes implemented by developers according to plans.
Replicate error or bug scenarios encountered by customers.
Write test plans from feature specifications and other internal documents.
Test software applications and identify software defects and issues.
Record and follow up on all defects and issues.
Provide feedback and status reports.
Develop and monitor testing methodology and standards within the company.

Technical knowledge, skills & abilities:

Knowledge of testing principles/techniques.
Understanding of documenting and managing system defects.
Knowledge in auditing and accounting desirable.

Education & qualifications:

Matric certificate.
QA certification (ISEB/ISQTB) Desirable.
Desirable: Completed or studying a Bcom degree with accounting 1 completed.

Details of experience:

Proven experience in Quality Assurance.
3+ years software testing experience.
Previous experience working with JIRA or a task management tool.
Previous experience in designing test plans from scratch.
