Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Support the team in defensive security. Monitoring SIEM, IPS/IDS, UEBA, etc. Responding to Security Incidents. Working with the greater security team to secure systems and help alleviate tasks. Learn and apply automation through SOAR technologies. The skills we need: Is passionate about technology and security. Is curious, always learning, and keeps up to date with the industry. Is a team player, an active listener, mentee, and able to communicate well. Shows solid reasoning and decision making. Possesses the ability to work under pressure. Qualifications & Experience: A formal qualification/degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 1-2 years of professional experience or internship in a security or similar role with a combination of certification such as CEH, Security+, Pentest+, CySA+ etc. Working knowledge of Open Source Operating Systems and Applications. Understanding of web technologies, networking, cloud computing and other computer science/engineering principles. Understanding of SQL (An understanding of NoSQL is a plus). An understanding of different security systems and their purpose (SIEM, SOC, SOAR, IPS/IDS, IR, DFIR etc.). Basic coding/scripting experience (Python, bash, javascript etc.). Like what you see?
