Stellenbosch Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Software Product Owner to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the software development industry.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Experience in market analysis, business process evaluation, and product demonstrations. Packhouse Systems and/or relevant agricultural experience will be advantageous.

Quality Control and Testing: Review and validate that the work delivered meets or exceeds client expectations and internal quality standards.
Client Interaction: Act as the primary liaison between the product team and clients, ensuring clear communication, providing training, and offering ongoing support.
Business Process Evaluation: Assess business processes, identify requirements, and uncover areas for improvement to enhance product efficiency.
Market Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends by understanding customer needs, prioritizing strategies, and translating them into actionable development tasks. A good understanding of the competitive landscape is essential.
Product Sales Input: Lead product demonstrations and follow-up with clients to clearly communicate the product's unique value proposition and differentiation from competitors.
Software Implementation Project Management: Proficient in planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within budget, with strong skills in team coordination, communication, and risk management.
Delivery on Timelines: Plan, agree, and communicate realistic expectations for deliverables, ensuring that outcomes are achieved within the agreed timeframe.
Development Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment with development teams by facilitating regular meetings, feedback sessions, and ensuring alignment on product goals and deliverables. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical team members to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
