About the Role As a Software Engineer, you'll perform moderately Challenging research, design, and software assignments.
You'll be working on individual tasks and solving problems.
You will design the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding and unit testing.ResponsibilitiesInterfacing with other personnel or team members to finalize requirementsWriting and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexityWorking closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designsImplementing development processes, coding best practices and code reviewsOperating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
while collaborating with key stakeholdersCompleting bug fixes, and resolving technical issuesKeeping abreast of new technology developmentsRequirements5+ years of Software Engineering experienceBS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience requiredAdvanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.Expertise in development languages including but not limited to C#, Angular, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, and .Net.Have an excellent understanding of data modelling principles, data manipulation languages and storage systemsHave the ability to work well with internal and external technology resourcesBe familiar with industry best practices, such as code coverageHave a good knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)Have good knowledge of test-driven developmentHave excellent verbal and written communication skillsWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization, with various flexible and remote working options available to employees.Working with UsLexisNexis Legal & Professional is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
