As a Software Development Team Lead, you'll be supporting the delivery of cutting-edge software using the latest development tools and frameworks; that support critical business processes, covering the design and implementation of new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes.
What you'll be doing As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Identify opportunities and risks within the environmentRisk ManagementManage and mentor a team to ensure deliverables are on time and of a high qualityBuild features, with unit tests that can support our large and growing user baseWhiteboard new features and fixes -- and bring it to lifeCollaborate with peers to write, review, or provide feedback on a technical design proposalHelp our skilled support team triage and solve bugsContribute to internal tools that help us improve our development process, manage our users, and scale our systems.Participate in your teams' morning standup meetingCoding responsibilitiesProduce clean maintainable and scalable codeMaintain well-structured Solutions in Source Control, ensure that major updates to a solution are branchedFollow established application design standards, policies, and proceduresEnsure solutions is aligned with architectureEnsure all new development/updates/changes go through an appropriate testing processEnsure all code deployed to QA is working and self-tested before handed over to QAInstall, research, test, and verify proper functioning of software updatesEnsure that the dev and staging environments are in a well-managed and maintained stateProvide input into the design of software systems, offering advice and thoughts and providing feedbackTo provide support for a system including analysis, tracking and resolutionTo utilise approved technologies for the development of systems, or introduce new technologies based on research you have performedTake part in the work planning and tracking processProactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other team members and divisions to improve skillsSolve complex technical problemsDevelop and mentor other developersDeliver at a high velocityProvide team members with technical consultancy and code reviewsEnsure all applications have sufficient logging and monitoringEnsure high up time and low production issues on softwareSet up and Configure CI/CD pipelinesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
