You will drive the definition of tech products (software, science, data), bringing teams from across the organization and around the globe together to define, build, and deliver on the programs' vision, improve our store experience for customers, and drive business impact.We are seeking a software engineer to be part of our team to build solutions on a global scale, own their systems end to end, and influence the direction of technology used by all Amazon Fulfillment and Packaging services around the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive mission critical projects, work with senior and principal engineers, and help mentor junior team members.Key job responsibilitiesAs a software development engineer on our team, you will peer with senior engineers and product leaders to build and operate an extremely large scale, highly available and low latency system handling billions of requests, using highly optimized techniques. You will have the opportunity to shape the packaging experience of millions of Amazon customers every day, and your success will be measured ultimately by your ability to improve their experience with Shipped Products. You will partner with our science team to deploy services based on models that optimize customer experience. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
