The program aims to support young people without an active enrolment by reconnecting and assisting them in navigating personal barriers to education and learning, to successfully assist in their re-engagement with education or training. Within this context, the incumbent will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a social work service that supports young people and their families. The Social Worker will contribute to building the capability and capacity of young people to improve student transition, retention, and attendance.This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well, and learning.The child is at the centre of everything we do and the way we do it.Duties:The Back on Track program focuses on supporting young people to engage with the requirements of the Education Act, specifically those who have not transitioned from year 10 to years 11 or 12.
