Your opportunity:
We are seeking a results-driven social media leader to develop and implement a divisional social media strategy that will align all U of T Engineering properties and help grow both follower and engagement numbers across all channels and with all audiences. Your role on this team will be to assess need and leverage social media strategically to advance portfolio-specific objectives.
Your experience leading the social media team of large and complex organizations has provided you with the opportunity to implement strategies across multiple channels that have resulted in impressive and measurable results related to engagement, follower growth, positive brand perception and recognition. You have honed your ability to successfully navigate the challenges of the ever-changing algorithms underlying social media platforms, and use your creativity and resourcefulness to film, photograph, design, write and post meaningful and timely content while tracking, measuring and reporting on impact daily.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing digital communication campaigns and programs that support strategic objectives.Developing and implementing social media programs and initiatives independently.Developing and implementing social media operational procedures and best practices that support strategic objectives.Advising on strategies to maximize social media presence and growth.Advising clients on social media strategies and planning activities.Determining key performance indicators to measure success.Serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance.Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum five years of relevant experience as social media leader in a corporate environment with social media as your primary function.Experience developing digital marketing, social media strategies for a large organization with multiple sub-brands.Experience with digital media planning and buying.Excellent writing and editing skills. Demonstrated experience writing engaging digital content.Superior fact-checking and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of clear, accurate, and compelling writing.Advanced skills in social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin).In-depth knowledge of social media metrics, with proven experience in developing key performance indicators (KPIs), extracting and interpreting data, and analyzing trends to inform strategic decision-making.Skilled in the use of Adobe Creative Suites (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver) and Canva.Demonstrated relevant experience in conducting market research and analysis to enhance the effectiveness of social media campaigns.Advanced skills in MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Effective in working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to elicit cooperation from diverse stakeholders, including faculty, management, staff, and students.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to implement and manage multiple projects.Capable of prioritizing competing demands, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines with high accuracy and attention to details.Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills combined with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent client service.Excellent problem solving, judgment, and analytical skills, with the demonstrated ability to take initiative and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and the promotions of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment.Proven ability to deal with matters of extreme sensitivity and confidentiality with tact and discretion.To be successful in this role you will be: Achievement orientedAdaptableInsightfulIntuitiveProactiveTeam playerClosing Date: 11/11/2024, 11:59PM ET
