Our client, based in Kuilsriver, Cape Town, is seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to develop and execute a powerful, cohesive social media strategy across multiple platforms. In this role, you'll create engaging, on-brand content, guide a talented team, and work closely with diverse stakeholders to drive brand alignment and performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Social Media Strategy Development and Execution Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)Align social media efforts and Digital Marketing objectives, ensuring accurate reflection in promo grids.Content Creation and Management Ensure social media content aligns with The Companies content plan, including collaboration with ATL, PR, and buying teams.Develop platform-specific, engaging content with in-house teams and external agencies.Manage social-only campaigns, ensuring timely content delivery across all platformsManagement Financial Management (Budgets)Stakeholder ManagementTalent Management (Resourcing, Performance & Talent/Succession Planning)Performance Analysis and Optimization Analyze social media performance using Brandwatch and Salesforce to generate insightful reports and identify areas for improvementCollaborate with the Customer Insights team to generate advanced analytics for deeper audience understanding.Identify actionable insights to optimize future campaigns.Industry Trends and Best Practice Keep the business updated on new social media trends, tools, and benchmarks.Provide quarterly presentations with recommendations for innovative strategies.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Essential: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a social media strategy roleA minimum of 2 years' experience at a management level in Marketing, which specifically includes responsibility for managing a teamExperience in working across several different business units and functionsStrong knowledge of social channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaignsStrong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools (Brandwatch, Salesforce)Ability to create and curate content tailored for multiple social media platformsInfluencer marketing knowledge, identifying and working with influencers to drive campaignsPreferred:
Experience within a clothing retail environment is preferredQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Essential: A Grade 12 Certificate / MatricNational Diploma / Degree in Marketing or an equivalent qualificationPreferred:
Digital marketing qualificationKNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Knowledge of social media platforms and their best practices (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels)Knowledge of social media algorithms and trends to optimize content and engagementKnowledge of analytics and reporting tools (Brandwatch, Salesforce, Google Analytics) to measure performanceKnowledge of content creation workflows and collaboration with design, photography, and videography teamsKnowledge of influencer marketing strategies and partnershipsKnowledge of brand management and tone of voice to ensure consistent communication across channelsKnowledge of competitor analysis techniques to benchmark performance and identify opportunities
