TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation.
We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs.

Our work culture is adapted to the constantly evolving South African health care environment and will suit solution-driven team players interested in opportunities for career development while working to connect people with care.Purpose Of The PositionTo provide psychosocial services under the supervision of a social worker within the context of the Care and Treatment programme focusing on people living with HIV (PLHIV), adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), adolescent boys and young men (ABYM) who are at risk of interrupting treatment.
This will include screening and risk-based assessment using the available tools, and referral to a social worker for therapeutic social work services.The social auxiliary worker (SAW) will also conduct adherence support within the framework of adherence guidelines addressing disclosure and adherence issues, mental health, as well as engage with relevant stakeholders such as government departments, and partners in the social and health work fields.
