Snr Mechanical Design Engineer

A well established and reputable company in Somerset West is in need of a Snr Mechanical (CAD) Designer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 – 10 years' design experience within the engineering industry.Responsibilities:Contribute to the mechanical design and development of various systems and components.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful realization of various projects.Design and develop various parts and assemblies in CAD.Produce various part and assembly technical drawings.Produce reliable and consistent CAD work that adheres to various internal and global standards.Procure, support, and liaise with various suppliers to manufacture according to specifications and within time constraints.Practice proper configuration and control of CAD data & manage various aspects using PDM (Product Data Management) & PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.Carry out quality control functions to ensure various parts and assemblies are made to specification.Provide hands-on assistance with integration and assembly of various R&D (Research and Development) activities.Requirements:Matric.B.Tech / B.Eng (Mechanical Engineering).Minimum of 7 – 10 years' experience as a Mechanical Designer.Previous experience within the engineering environment will be highly advantageous.Computer Literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CAD & SolidWorks.Skills:Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills.Detail-oriented and organized team player with demonstrated delivery in high-pressure situations.Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.A proactive and organized approach to work, capable of meeting tight deadlines.A team player who can also work independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: R55000,00 - R65000,00 per month.
