Business unit, Department, Reporting Business Unit CFO Department Enterprise Performance Enablement Job grade/level M4 Core Description Contribute to the development of the company's strategic performance by providing insights on financial implications and opportunities t hrough the creation and running of analytical models based on critical business questions in relation to the cost-benefit of capital and investments into BCX .
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions • Develop a framework that provides financial analysis, support, and guidance to designated areas of business to improve the accuracy of financial data and systems; • Deliver strategic financial analysis and advice to senior leaders, meeting BCX's business information needs and boosting the capacity for financial data-based decision making across the organisation by developing and establishing metrics and targets that facilitate optimal financial performance for the division; • Identify and implement initiatives to improve process within the business area, and deliver business growth objectives; • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of compliance with accounting principles, laws, industry and company standards and policies.
Ensure risk management and governance; • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of business strategies, building effective working relationships with the senior leadership team to enable the delivery of useful, relevant, and informed financial planning, analysis, reporting and advisory services; • Develop cost estimates based on assumptions and direction from key stakeholders; • Prepare summaries that reflect financial projections related to business pursuits; • Coordinate and review costing results and assumptions and participate in the development and presentation of review material to functional leadership; • Complete other costing and related analysis as required, using a variety of methods; • Develop and implement action plans based on reviews of key metrics and root causes for trends; • Ensure alignment to commercial and business strategy • Provide input/recommendations on transaction structuring, costing strategies, market insights, risk identification, margin validation; • Maximise financial potential for BCX and limit Revenue leakage; • Review and manage Original Deal Economics including, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows Core Functional Skills & Capabilities Strategic Planning Impactful Communication Risk Management Business Acumen Critical Thinking Core Behavioural Competencies Job Match Formulating Strategies & Concepts Persuading and Influencing Entrepreneurial & Commercial thinking Leading and supervising Writing and Reporting Minimum Qualifications NQF 7: 3 year Bachelors Degree in Finance Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage Master in Business Administration (MBA) Experience Minimum of seven (7) years' working experience in capital investments of which at least two (2) are in leading a team.
Experience in the ICT industry would be advantageous.
Continuous and process improvement experience in finance service delivery experience.
