Stefanutti Stocks Coastal Region is looking for a Snr HR Officer to join our team. Applicants should have appropriate experience with a medium to large construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of every aspect of the employment process, focusing on salaried and wage employees. The candidate will provide operational service as part of the overall Human Resources function of the company. The Candidate should be discreet, approachable, fair and have exceptional communication skills.
The best candidates will be deadline driven with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role reports to the Regional HR Manager based in Pinetown, KZN.
Minimum Requirements
At least 7 years' HR related experience, preferably in construction/engineering/technical environment.
A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or similar field.
Valid South African driver's license with own transport is required.
Proficient in MS Office.
Ideally experience on Sage People and ESS.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of the various labour law acts.
Expert knowledge of the BIBC and BCCEI collective agreements.
Requirements
Be solutions based; problems are variable, and resolution may require some flexibility within established procedures.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office.
Able to interact in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.
Remains pro-active and works productively in a highly pressurized environment.
Ability to be discreet with sensitive information.
Administer information accurately and timeously on the various information systems.
Act as a support to the team.
Able to be autonomous and complete tasks within tight deadlines.
Has the necessary interpersonal skills to ensure positive relations between management and employees.
