About the role As the Senior Finance Business Partner, act as the lead finance partner for commercial sales, marketing and supply chain. Using Finance and Business expertise to drive strategic business plan, supporting strategy and decision making with critical financial insights. Lead Business Partnering team, ensuring people development. Key responsibilities Takes overall responsibility for the South Africa P&L; reviewing results and signing off of results on a monthly basis – ensuring accuracy of reporting. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly results, annual results and all other quarterly submissions for the business partnering function. Present financial results on a monthly basis to the SA Consumer leadership team. Prepare and drive the Monthly Performance Review with MEA. Lead the business partnering team in the financial planning processes for South Africa, ensuring development of robust business plans and forecasts. Ensure appropriate timetables regarding budgeting and forecasting are prepared and communicated to the finance and commercial teams. Add value to the commercial organization while keeping risks & opportunities balanced at all times. Review advertising and promotion strategies and ensure optimized spend efficiency and use of best practices. Review trading terms and customer promotion strategy and ensure alignment to budget/forecast. Support planned NPD initiatives and support the S&OP meetings to make informed decisions. Active management of gross margins. Understand brand performance vs share data received from IRI. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the local business, the industry and competitors in the industry. Support in the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies, resource allocation, portfolio management and the identification and maximisation of potential business and improvement opportunities. You will lead a team of 2 direct reports, with responsibility for both their output and their personal development and progress. Qualifications and skills Essential CIMA/CA Qualified. Experience in SAP, Power BI, Full Microsoft office. 6-8 years' experience in FMCG and/or Pharma. Forecasting and Budgeting. Variance analysis. Successful Team management. Business strategy. Good negotiation skills. Preferred Experience in driving Finance business agenda across organization, whilst enabling cross departmental strategy execution. Finance Leadership.
