Employer DescriptionA Luxury Game Reserve located in the Natal Zululand.Job DescriptionOur client is looking for qualified Junior to Senior level Field Guides to join the team and ensure that an all-encompassing wildlife experience is offered to every guest with the focus on catering to the specific needs of each individual guest. The Game Reserve offers 4 different lodges all with 4-star and 5-star grading and caters to international clientele.You will be responsible for:Ensures the highest quality of game experience for the guests.Always show an exceptional appreciation and sensitivity to the environment.Ensures that guest, staff and animal safety is always a priority.Communicate with Front of House staff to ensure the best possible experience for guests.Conscientious maintenance and care of vehicles and related equipment.Carry out administration duties timeously and effectively.Undertake a process of continuous education of self and other members of staff.Achieve service excellence though teamworkBe an active, contributing member of the guiding teamBe willing, in certain cases, to put in extra work to ensure best possible guest experience and to assist the teamsAbility to promote conservation and environmental protectionOngoing self-growth and development to enhance & expand your guiding skillsAssist in ensuring trails are accessible and safe by conduction inspectionsAssist with administrative work in the lodgeQualificationsGrade 12 certificate4 x 4 Driving experiencePDP LicenseFGASA Level 1 CertificateTertiary qualification in natural sciences would be an advantageFirst Aid Level 1/Wilderness First Aid level 1Registered Tour Guide with NDTSkillsThe successful candidate must have:Minimum 2 - 5 years experience as a GuideExcellent communications and people handling skillsAccuracy and attention to detail.Works well under pressureFlexible and adaptable approach to work.Ability to use your own initiative.Able to work in shifts may require night shiftHave situational awareness, be able to act quickly and confidently when neededConfidentiality is prioritizedComputer literate BenefitsSingle accommodation with an en suite bathroom and shared kitchen.
