As part of the Technical Team, and reporting into the Technical Manager, the Site Technician is responsible for the installation, proactive maintenance, and repair of IOT electrical connected systems, and machinery.Requirements:Electrician or Millwright Trade certificate.IT literate: Proficiency with MS OfficeProficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.Comprehensive understanding of electronic circuits – 3-phase motor circuits; High voltage AC 400V, 230V, low voltage AC or DC 24V1-year qualified Electrician experience OR 3+ years' experience working within electrical field or FMCG or related sector/sKnowledge of electrical motors, gearbox's, fans, pumps etc.Experience of and willingness to be part of a fast growing and fast paced environmentProven success in providing and maintaining a successful relationship between the client and the companyProven success of adhering to strict safety guidelines and being cognizant of safety risksAdvantageous:Basic understanding of communication protocols such as LoRa & ModbusBasic understanding PLC & SCADA systems;Basic Mechanical assembly & AutoCADResponsibilities:Installation of new systemsTest and ensure new systems are ready for installation prior to leaving the workshopMaintain and support current systems and customersCheck and maintain site tools and sparesAssist with in-housework (procurement, assembly & testing) when there is no outhouse workAct as customer liaison between the client and the companyKeep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentationLeadership and management of the technical installation and maintenance teamRegular local and global travel to different sitesPerforming other related duties as assignedSkills, Characteristics and Abilities:Must be proficient in Afrikaans & EnglishHigh and excellent customer service focusDriver's licence and valid passportAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingAbility to work at heightsPhysical ability to lift to 30 kgsReside in Cape Town and have own transportWillingness to travel locally & globallyA clean criminal recordAbility to work autonomously and in teams in a high-pressured environment to meet tight deadlinesMechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar toolsWorking knowledge of mechanical technical skills for effective reading, understanding and application of specification, machine manual, and blueprint documentationProficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issuesExcellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detailEmail your CV to ******
