Site Supervisor (Underground)

Minimum Requirements:Matric (Grade 12)Mining Engineering degree or equivalentBlasting Certificate or equivalent D&B certificateAt least seven years underground mining experience and mass mining experienceExperience leading a team, including building a collaborative approachAbility to analyse/impact financial data utilizing SAP, and Resource ModellingDemonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholdersStrong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgementMechanical comprehension of operation/maintenance of equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholdersResponsibilities:Providing analytical/decision support to Area Manager on continuous improvement plan for decreasing operational costsAssume primary responsibility in coordinating the various departments/functions on siteParticipating in the short, medium, and long-term planning activities of the siteCompleting mandatory monthly inventory counts and reconciliations, safety meetings, annual Letter of Assurance and ensure all actions assigned to the Site are completedCompleting Audits and inspects site operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met and are performed safely in accordance with company policiesEnsuring mandatory training of all employees is completed and documented and supervising employees' performanceAssisting in preparation of fixed cost budgets, capital expenditures, staffing, equipment requirements, and an updated Resource ModelAnalysing site inventories to minimize product quantities and improve site profitability through stock rotation and managementScheduling daily activities of employees to meet customer requirements and ensuring proper management of site including raw material ordering, and preventative maintenanceCommunicating and implementing action plans to address any operational issuesMaintaining, developing, and increasing accounts in a safe and profitable manner while meeting corporate goals and improving customer satisfactionCommunicating regularly with customers seeking opportunities for improving the Companies services
