Site SupervisorThe Site Supervisor will be responsible for the procurement of transportation and processing services of ferrous scrap by the employer to designated sites in the Durban, Cape Town & Gauteng Regions.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the processing, loading, and distribution of scrap.Recruit and assist with the management of labourers and transporters that provide services to the company.Liaise with and manage the relationship with the transporters and contractors.Oversee, implement, and ensure compliance with all the requisite health and safety requirements.Manage the procurement, inspection, and maintenance of equipment utilized on site.Manage equipment movements and maintenance between sites.Supervise the employer's appointed Sub-Contractor and control all relevant documentation at the different weighbridges.Book trucks for collections of scrap.Prepare daily/weekly plans which include:Manpower and Equipment needs on site.Services (gas, oxygen, compliance, hot work permits, safety files) as needed on site.Provide weekly/monthly reports to Management for collections of scrap, processing of works orders, gas stock levels and ordering, truck logistics, and cleaning of stations.Desired Experience & QualificationMatricMinimum 5 years of scrap experienceMinimum 5 years of management experienceSafety experience will be an advantageStrong report writing skillsDurationLong Term Contract
