MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Responsible for protecting the physical environments of the data centre environment, defining a security risk framework and ensuring appropriate compliance, based on threat and risk management approach based on ISO/PCI standards.The Site Security Manager is responsible for stock control. The role manages, receives and dispatches goods, and tracks and maintains stock levels and inventory. This includes both Teraco and Client goods. Responsible for the management of all placement and removal of goods from Teraco stores.Working hours for this role are between 06h00 and 18h00 Monday - Friday.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The Site Security Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the teams ensuring that Security Standard Operating Procedures are followed, administering the 3rd party Security Guarding contract to ensure the smooth running of the operation. They will ensure that all new staff receive adequate training and induction and coach, mentor and motivate teams to always ensure contract efficiency.
Lead physical security risk management activities to enhance the value of the company.
Command and control of the day-to-day management of all onsite Security Guards as directed by the 3rd party Security contract.
Oversee, coordinate and lead security requirements with vendors who safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and technology as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors.
Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan and compliance requirements.
Physical protection responsibilities will include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, network and access control access, employee education and awareness, and more.
Maintain relationships with local, national and law enforcement agencies and other related government agencies.
Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.
Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.
Perform daily, weekly, quarterly and annual audits and reviews to validate that security is deployed as expected.
Assist the Operations Security Administrators in maintenance and repair of the security system.
Adherence to standard operating procedures and to IT Security governance and policies.
Comply with client specific security procedures, including incident and change control procedures.
Conduct a complete patrol throughout the premises daily to ensure everything is still in order and report any discrepancies.
Conduct daily checks on all key registers and escalate immediately if any keys are missing.
Conduct daily camera reviews to ensure all cameras are fully operational.
Assist or escalate with all unexpected incidents that might occur after hours.
Support the National Security team, as requested from time to time.
Manage contractor biometric group and contractor per group access across all sites, where Gallagher or equivalent deployed. Perform contractor quarterly audits across all sites.
Receives complaints, investigates, takes immediate action to remediate and reports on safety concerns.
Must be able to investigate incidents and accidents.
Ensure all registers and checklists are updated on a weekly and monthly basis.
Collaborate with the Head of Security to ensure access to site is limited to authorised vehicles and ensure best practices are applied in regards vehicle access and operations on site.
Ensure that any person who is suspected to be under the influence of intoxicating substances is tested and the appropriate action is taken to remove the person from site and escalate to the Head of Security for further action.
Ensure all employees are adequately trained and coached to perform their roles.
Receive, store and issue goods.
Supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of client or Teraco stock so that it can be accessed and identified easily.
Release goods based on authorised tickets.
Record and track stock levels.
Monitor distribution of Teraco Stock & Equipment and Client Equipment.
Oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement.
Maintain stock records using manual or computerised systems.
Draw up inventories of Teraco stock.
Check supplies against invoice and purchase orders.
Undertake monthly stock takes.
Identify and implement authorised improvements that streamline the process, improve the client experience, and mitigate risk.
After-hours availability for escalations from the site.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
4 years' experience in Security environment or Police Service.
Experience in supervisory or management role.
Experience in Vendor Management and related SLA's preferred.
Experience in administering and enforcing IT security across multiple sites.
Knowledge of Telecommunication and Data Centre environment.
Driver's license and own car.
Prior experience in inventory and stock management of 5 years required.
Tertiary qualification preferred, in Inventory & Logistics Management Diploma, BCom etc. However, 5 years' experience in inventory and logistics management would be considered as equivalent to tertiary qualification.
