The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and ensuring that site is able to operate safely and efficiently while maintaining safety protocols by implementing site procedures and standards as per HPS policies and procedures. Responsibilities Responsible for managing all HPS employees on site. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mining equipment, including rock drills, thrustlegs and other machinery. Oversee all equipment installations on surface and underground. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment is kept in good working order. Conduct regular inspections (Surface & Underground) of all equipment to identify and address any potential problems before they cause downtime. Ensure that mining crews are trained to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor equipment performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance. Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure effective asset management. Management of all critical and consumable spares. Manage the compliment and competence of staff Oversee all HR related functions. Requirements Must reside in the Welkom area Grade 12 Fitter trade certificate 10 Years experience in a similar role in mining. Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable regulations and requirements. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with proven ability to manage a team effectively. Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment and operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Valid Medical Certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate is essential.
