Purpose Statement To assist the Manager in enforcing the observation and compliance of the regulations to the Minerals Act.
To oversee service delivery and revenue growth as well manage client relations on specific sites.
To coordinate the activities of site operators, drivers, trainers, and technicians.
Key Performance Areas (to translate into a measure of success) Enforcement of the Regulations to the Minerals Act and schedule 4 to the MHSA.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management System ("HSE Management System") Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training and Communication Regarding Health and Safety Implementation of Systems Over Inspection Contractor Management Oversee service delivery on client site Site Meetings Daily/Weekly Secure and optimize revenue Reporting General Main Outputs and Responsibilities for This Position Responsibilities Enforcement of the Regulations to the Minerals Act and schedule 4 to the MHSA.
Ensure compliance to Rules, Standards, Procedures and Codes of Practice.
Ensure operators are trained and competent to do their jobs.
Adhere to safety regulations.
Making sure machines are inspected on a daily basis.
Attend meetings.
Ensure that work carried out within your area of responsibility is carried out safely and in accordance with the MHSA.
Implement corrective measures and/or report breaches of the Provisions of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, No.
28 of 2002 ("MPRDA")I Mine Health and Safety Act No.
29 of 1996 ("MHSA"), MHSA Regulations and the Minerals Act Regulations.
Ensure that all employees within your area of control have necessary personal protective equipment and that they have been instructed in the proper use, the limitations and appropriate maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications Minimum Grade 12/N3 Supervisory and/or management training course Risk assessment training - A2 Legal liability training - MHSA Experience 2 years Supervisory experience in a technical environment 3 years' experience on technical machine equipment supervision Commercial experience / customer relations Customer Safety Compliant MHSA Complaint Knowledge Provisions of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, No.
