Site Manager

The Site Manager will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the Client's objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.
The Site Manager will deliver multiple ongoing projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The post-holder will work closely with the Commercial/Business Development Department, Engineers and Surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst Client requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Requirements:

National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Over 8 years' experience working on civil/mechanical works projects civils / roads / stormwater/ bulk earthworks
Professional registration with ECSA is a MUST
MS Office Suite
Exceptional communication skills with the team and clients
Sound knowledge and understanding of reading and interpretation of drawings.
Valid driver's license is essential

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Management:

Ensure the right equipment is available to execute the tasks given and check every morning with the operator on the vehicle checklist to identify possible problems
Ensure maintenance (including cleaning) of plant is up to date.
Discourage misuse of company vehicles and equipment.

Commercial Management:

Ensure that all work done is recorded correctly and is documented in the Quantity files on site and liaise with the Quantity Surveyor.
Conduct measurement of construction works.
Identify all payable items on site and provide backup for payment certificates.
Compile calculation sheets.
