My client a leading and well known FMCG Company based in Saldanha on the West Coast (120 km from Cape town) requires a competent and qualified Site Engineering Manager to join their team.
This position is reporting to the Head of Engineering and SHE.
JOB PURPOSE: The role involves overseeing and leading project management, asset lifecycle management, equipment performance, safety, and environmental stewardship.
This position requires a blend of technical and managerial skills and excellent communication and organisational abilities.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS and COMPETENCIES: Bachelors/ BTech degree in Engineering or equivalent
Strong technical background with hands-on experience
Trade-tested artisan is advantageous
GGC (factories), or working towards, is highly advantageous
Six years of experience in leading technical teams
Eight years of experience within the FMCG Industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeframe successfully Structured problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in engineering
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
