Engineering Manager - Facilities Management Location: KwaZulu-NatalAbout the Role: We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee facilities management operations, ensuring machinery compliance and implementing strategic FM solutions across multiple sites.
This senior position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in a healthcare/manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead the implementation and maintenance of statutory machinery compliance programsOversee occupational health and safety matters related to machinery and assetsManage integrated facilities management solutions and service deliveryDirect planned maintenance programs and statutory record keepingProvide engineering and OHS&E support across KwaZulu-NatalManage key customer relationships and service level agreementsDrive commercial and financial targetsLead continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications:M+4, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalentProfessional Registration with ECSAGovernment Certificate of CompetencyBSc EngineeringManagement Development Program certificationExperience:Minimum 5 years' experience as Senior Facilities Manager in Healthcare/ManufacturingDemonstrated experience with steam operations and boiler systemsPrevious GMR 2(1) appointee experienceProven track record in contractor and SLA managementStrong understanding of Labor Relations Act and IR ManagementEssential Skills:Advanced knowledge of building and engineering systemsExpertise in electrical, mechanical, electronic, and fire detection systemsStrong project and resource management capabilitiesExcellence in strategic planning and executionOutstanding communication and relationship managementProven leadership abilitiesCustomer service orientationAdvanced problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong computer literacyCompetency Requirements:Demonstrated ability to deliver proactive, high-quality serviceStrong people and process management skillsSelf-motivated with ability to work independentlyExcellent conflict resolution abilitiesProfessional communication at all organizational levelsStrong commitment to organizational goalsLevel of Authority: Full authority to execute all key performance areas within the role's scope.This role offers an opportunity to join a leading organization where you'll have significant impact on operational excellence and safety compliance.
