VEHICLE AND DEPOT CONTROLResponsible for receiving all vehicles entering the depot.Informing the respective departments immediately about the arrival of vehicles at the depot.Checking all vehicles and trailers against the RTMS lists as provided.Reporting all faults on hooks/trailers/equipment/cargoes via RTMS lists to PMK for roadworthiness.Reporting faults or any observations related to drivers and assistants immediately, listing them, and handing them over to PMK.Ensuring vehicles promptly reach the relevant departments for repairs as identified.Ensuring all vehicles (long-distance and local) entering the depot are properly refueled with diesel.Allocating faults from drivers, listing them on RTMS lists, and reporting to PMK.Focusing on the standard of vehicle equipment, such as sails, belts, corner plates, papersavers, rubbers, chains, jacks, triangles, suzy pipes, etc.Ensuring cargo is adequately secured, especially in tautliners, and reporting deviations to Padman for inspection.Ensuring high-risk cargo vehicles are parked at the correct places in the depot.Ensuring the correct hook and trailer are hitched as per operational instructions.Ensuring pre-route inspections are carried out.Checking vehicles against RTMS lists as provided before they leave the depot.Ensuring reported faults on RTMS lists are rectified, and the vehicles are roadworthy before leaving the depot.Submitting completed RTMS lists to PMK for filing.Checking that the truck is clean before it leaves the depot and reporting any deviations to Padman for inspection.3.
DIESEL MANAGEMENTConducting daily diesel dips and reporting to management.Receiving diesel from Engen and reporting dips to management.Handling all diesel inquiries and administration at the Alrode depot.4.
WAREHOUSES AND CARGO TRANSHIPPINGManaging warehouses if they are rented out.Handling all cargo loading and offloading at the Alrode depot.Managing administrative work related to all cargo loaded in warehouses and cargo transhipping at the Alrode depot.5.
GENERALResponsible for the proper record-keeping of all equipment assigned to drivers and the record-keeping of all equipment returned by drivers.Ensuring all equipment is removed from trucks upon their arrival at the Alrode depot.
