VACANCY FOR A SITE AGENT We have a position available in the KZN Region for a SITE AGENT to oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure that the construction project is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations on the construction site.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Site Supervision: Supervise and manage the activities of contractors and subcontractors.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Address any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
Resource Management: Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available on-site.
Manage the procurement and delivery of materials.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs and progress reports.
Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team.
Provide regular updates to clients on project status and address any concerns or queries.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and maintaining open communication.
Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies on-site.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on-site.
Qualifications and Skills: Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
CCS Candy and Buildsmart knowledge advantageous Experience: 7+ years' experience in a Site Agent role 7+ year's experience in working on Steel Pipeline and Reinforced Concrete Water Retaining Cost and allowable reporting skills advantageous Own vehicle preferable Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
