Job Title:SILPA and CO2 Instrumentation TechnicianJob Location:KwaZulu-Natal, Richards BayDeadline:January 04, 2025Quick Recommended Links:Jobs by LocationJobs by IndustriesJob Responsibilities:In this position, the incumbent is accountable to:Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns on on-site units.Perform installations of new instrumentation units.Work independently and as part of a team.Work on cryogenics as requested and perform basic fitting required for installation, repair, change, and/or commissioning of instrumentation.Perform routine preventative maintenance services on ASU and CO2 Plants.Carry out assigned PMs and service requests and update the CMMS system upon completion of activities.Maintain overall responsibility, with the team, for maintenance of the plant.Responsible for installation of new instrumentation equipment including the integration to PLC/DCS.Respond to breakdown call-outs and troubleshoot instrumentation problems.Work with DCS, PLCs, valves, actuators, weighing systems, cylinders, regulators, positioners, switches, analyzers, flow, pressure, level, temperature meters/instruments, and general light electrical experience.Maintain quality records and procedures while working within AL safety procedures.Control instrumentation spares inventory and coordinate with the plant managers.Adhere to and maintain quality procedures and work instructions while following safety standards and procedures.Ensure that the Food Safety Management System is established, implemented, maintained, updated, and report any problems.Be part of the Investigation Team in the event of any nonconforming Food Grade Product.Review batch manufacturing records and release of medical gas in tankers (Finished Product) as specified in the Quality System Manual for Healthcare-related activities reporting directly to the responsible pharmacist.Are You a MATCH?Educational Requirements:Grade 12Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation FieldExperience:3-5 years experience working with instrumentation and process control equipment in the gas industry.Knowledge and Know-how Specific to the Job:Knowledge of equipment like analyzers, flow meters, etc.Knowledge of Air separation process.Knowledge of gases and their behaviours.Knowledge of telemetry.Understanding of gas and fluid dynamics and measurement.Engineering / Technical jobs
