About the role:The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing Manager in executing various marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions, traditional marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and the design of marketing materials. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, who holds an Honours degree in Marketing, the intern will play a vital role in enhancing brand visibility and driving customer engagement. This role contributes to the organizations overall marketing efforts by assisting in the creation of compelling content, analyzing campaign performance, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.Responsibilities:Assist in developing and implementing in-store marketing strategies to attract and engage customers.Support traditional marketing campaigns, including print, events, and direct mail, ensuring consistency with the brand's image.Create, schedule, and manage content for social media platforms, monitoring engagement and contributing to audience growth.Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on the design and development of marketing materials, such as brochures, posters, and online graphics.Liaise with store managers and sales teams to gather feedback on promotional activities.Maintain and update marketing databases and contact lists,Assist with ecommerce marketing strategies.Contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.Support the Marketing Manager in administrative tasks (such as setting up of social media accounts and e-commerce accounts).Requirements:South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34Must not have participated on the YES Programme beforeBasic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing strategiesHave a general interest in products / willingness to learn as this would assist in the marketing strategyGood admin. Skills in setting up social media accounts, updating content etc.Creative thinker with a strong interest in social media and content creationProactive and eager to learn, with a hands-on approach to supporting marketing initiativesGood communication skills for collaborating with team members, store managers, and sales teamsDetail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and an interest in audience engagementKnowledge and passion of basic design principles, and ability / willingness to learn design on CANVA etc.Tech Savvy, creative with a passion and interest in digital marketing activities including e-commerce.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not heard from the Signa team within two weeks.
