Short Term Insurance Consultant

Experience The successful incumbent will have at least two (2) years experience as a client portfolio manager / underwriter. Formal education and qualifications as a minimum requirement Class of Business in Short-term Personal and Commercial Lines. B-Com Degree or a Higher Certificate in Short-term Insurance NQF 5 (minimum 120 credits). Regulatory Exam for representatives (RE5). Building and maintaining business relationships with clients. Analyse markets, service providers and products to meet set targets. Focus to add new clients on the portfolio. Discussing and assessing clients current and future short-term insurance needs. Researching insurance policies and products and stay informed with change strategies from service providers. Negotiating policy terms and costs with insurance providers. Arranging insurance cover for clients with the insurance provider. Keeping detailed records on the relevant systems. Preparing management reports. Advising clients on claims. Renewing or amending existing policies for clients. Undertaking general administrative duties. Marketing ventures to reach minimum goals. All new and existing clients must be aware of the complete Financial Service that the Company renders. Maintain constant portfolio growth through the recruitment of new clients. Give guidance to Administrators with regard to work procedures. Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo psychometric testing and background screening .
