The Kuda team wants to add an energetic, organized, and driven individual as a Short-Term Insurance Broker in Gauteng. The successful candidate will work alongside our Short-Term Product Manager, successfully growing the Business whilst always ensuring best practices and putting the client first. Existing relationships within the equestrian industry would be advantageous.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESGenerate new business and manage existing clients and their portfoliosConverting internal leads into written businessUnderstand the provisions of each policy and communicate this information to the customerAct as liaison between insurers and clientsResponsible for all administrative and organisational activities surrounding the sales and quoting processesUphold and maintain record-keeping processes and meet the departmental minimum operating standardsResponsible for dealing with and resolving client queriesProviding quality service and solutions to all StakeholdersCreating marketing initiatives to attract new clientsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEGrade 12 passed in school or higherWorking knowledge of short-term insurance with a minimum of five years experience in the industryConnection to the sport horse community will be advantageousExcellent marketing and sales skills (including cold calling)Good personal network and ability to actively generate leadsWillingness to obtain any necessary insurance qualificationsBe computer literate and proficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong attention to detail and ability to identify opportunities and solve problems timeouslyMust be able to work under pressure and prioritise workloadsSKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESAbility to work independently and without supervisionMust have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in all areas of the businessIntegrity and believabilityTeam playerPACKAGE & REMUNERATIONRemuneration: A market related salary package will be offered
