Role Overview: The individual in this role will be tasked with expanding the business insurance portfolio by establishing a short-term insurance book.
Responsibilities include selling personal and commercial lines through new business sales efforts such as prospecting and canvassing.
Competencies: Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset Strong business acumen Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written) Analytical, numerical, and mathematical abilities Team supervisory skills Confident and enthusiastic self-starter who can take initiative Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing team and individual responsibilities, providing and accepting feedback Strong problem-solving skills Effective relationship management skills Proficient in presentation and facilitation Resilient and able to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment Flexible and adaptable Influential, concise, rational, and practical communicator Creative and innovative thinker Exercises discretion, and judgment, and maintains high levels of trust Requirements High school diploma or National Senior Certificate Must have a reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access Valid code B driver's license 3 years of external sales experience in face-to-face selling Experience in lead generation, cold calling, relationship management, and business development If you have prior experience as a FAIS representative, the following is mandatory: FAIS credits/Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on Dofa) RE5 (depending on Dofa) Benefits Initially, our client offers a R29000 cost-to-company retainer for the first 2 months.
Subsequently, from month 3 to 20, a 60/40 split will apply to your retainer.
Post the 20th month, you will receive 10% of your book value with a favorable tax directive of only 15%.

The R29500 retainer for the first 3 months, will include the following: - Fuel card, company laptop, and a Cellphone - Medical Aid, Pension fund, Group life and Disability benefits - Employee wellness programs: Free Counselling, Legal Advice, and Financial Coaching for you and your members of the household.
