Shift Technician Duties includeReport technical and engineering concerns or faults.Update and maintain work instructions, learning documents (KMS sheets), and procedures as required.Support continuous improvement initiatives on plant, machinery, and equipment.Annalize plant stoppages and breakdowns, focusing on equipment that causes the most downtime.Prepare detailed technical analysis sheets for management on breakdowns and technical issues.Provide operational support within the assigned section.Participate in shift handovers by arriving on time and ensuring a smooth transition to the incoming shift.Document major breakdowns in the Knowledge Management System (KMS) to reduce recurrence and minimize downtime.
Scope of Required SupportPerform basic replacements and repairs on faulty equipment and parts (e.g., welding guns, servo-pneumatic valves, transmission modules, tucker guns, sealer equipment) to ensure line performance and spare part availability.Provide technical expertise across PLC, electrical, and mechanical areas to support the maintenance department.Resolve robotic faults through program adjustments and troubleshooting communication issues to ensure uninterrupted production.Diagnose, fault-find, and optimize equipment (sealer, toxing, welding, laser, bolting, rivet joining) to meet quality and production standards.Annalize PLC programs, resolve errors, and address Interbus/Profinet network issues to maintain continuous production.Troubleshoot, set up, and program SEW drives using diagnostics tools (Movitools, Motion Studio).Modify HMI diagnostic software to facilitate quick identification of faulty equipment.Investigate recurring stoppages to identify root causes, implement preventive measures, and eliminate fault reoccurrence.Document production stoppages, severe breakdowns, and problem sheets in KMS and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure documentation is retained and shared.Conduct root cause analysis immediately after breakdowns and document findings and countermeasures on required control sheets.Ensure robot safety systems are fully operational, meeting all required safety standards.Download robot and PLC program backups for quick recovery in the event of data loss.Perform weekend PM schedules (Saturday and Sunday) as scheduled during the prior week, per production requirements.Minimum RequirementsNational diploma in electrical engineering/Mechanical Engineering.Siemens PLC training.Kuka KRC4 & KRC2 training.Ability to read electrical (E-Plan) and mechanical drawings.
