Shift Engineer

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on all mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, generators, HVAC systems, and plumbing systems Monitor and maintain the ship's fuel, water, and oil levels Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work Follow all safety protocols and procedures Train and supervise junior engineering staff Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergencies as neededQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Shift Engineer on a cruise ship or similar vessel Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work long hours and shifts as needed
