A vacancy has come up in our East London Warehouse facility for a SHERQ Coordinator who has the following competencies:Sound Level of Computer ProficiencySound knowledge of OHS ActSound knowledge of Warehousing OperationsSound knowledge of Dangerous Goods Handling, Storage and TransportationQualifications & Experience:Grade 12 Certificate, or relevant equivalent tertiary qualificationMinimum Two Years Industry Related ExperienceSAMTRAC Qualification would be advantageousSHERQ Related QualificationsHigh levels of proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS OutlookKey Responsibilities:Rollout BQMS Procedures, and manage compliance theretoManagement and uploading of Facility Documents and Records, on DGHManage review and update of Facility Quality Work InstructionsCompile a Job Observation Plan, and along with Operational Support conduct Job ObservationsConduct and review Facility Risk AssessmentsManagement of Action Requests, and the Action Request Register (Smart Sure)Issue of Work Permits to ContractorsInduction of Contractors, Casual Labour, and New EmployeesManagement of Staff PPE issuesAssisting Facility to prepare for SHERQ Related AuditsMaintain legal compliance requirements according to the OHSA 85 of 1993Maintain SHERQ Records at Facility LevelMaintain and submit the Monthly SHERQ OTP ReportPlan and Conduct compliance AuditsAttend Monthly SHERQ MeetingsMaintain the completion of all SHERQ Inspections Checklists, with the Support of Operations StaffAssist management in maintaining ISO AccreditationSourcing and maintaining daily safety topics discussed in facility Blue AreaEnsure open channels of communicationMaintain Facility Dangerous Goods RegisterCompile and manage a facility training plan, in relevance to SHERQ Related TrainingEnsure compliance to all company SHERQ related processes and proceduresMaintain Database of Contractors' Letter of Good Standing, ensuring that all LOG's on file are updatedFacilitate renewal of all Facility Permits prior to expiry thereofInduction of Labour Broker Staff and/or Contractors to the Facility, inclusive of Permit issuingActively promote safety awareness within the operation and immediate work environmentActively encourage and participate in the 5S
