Job FunctionTo lead and align the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management value chain function for an operating company through the development and implementation of a functional strategy and operating model, enabling a high-performance culture, client satisfaction, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.Key Performance AreasProcess and GovernanceDefine and implement a strategy, operating model and policies for multiple value chain functions in the context of an analysed risk profile as well as relevant corporate governance.Establish and optimise a total supply chain solution function.Ensure alignment of operational capabilities to total supply chain solution requirements.FinanceDefine and control the budget for multiple value chain functions.Client/CustomerIntegrate and align multiple value chain functions based on internal & external client requirements as well as market trends and other business intelligence.PeopleAlign people's performance goals to support the achievement of a strategy for multiple value chain functions.Support and empower people that design and implement change within multiple value chain functions.Fill approved positions in compliance with the recruitment practices.Manage talent and succession.Qualifications requiredNQF Level 7 relevant Bachelor's Degree and/or Advanced DiplomaSAMTRAC, HIRA and or HACCP CertificationSkills and Experience RequiredAbility to work on SHEQ SoftwareMust be proficient in Risk AssessmentMust have experience in Incident and Accident InvestigationSound knowledge of management systems (implement and maintain) such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 45000Knowledge and experience of ISO 22000 systems will be beneficialExperience and knowledge of SHEQ related legislation and SANS Standards including RTMS: 1395-1Working experience and understanding of Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) programsBehavioural CompetencyBusiness acumenClient centricityImprovement orientationInspirational leadershipInterpersonal effectivenessPersonal courageResults OrientationStrategic orientationTechnical CompetenciesBudgeting and Cost ManagementBusiness and Operations ManagementPeople Management and Development skillsUnderstand and apply Labour Relations Procedures
