Leading manufacturing group are seeking an experienced SHEQ ADMINISTRATOR for their packaging division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the workplace adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) of South Africa.
Risk Assessments: Assist in identifying workplace hazards and conducting risk assessments.
Incident Management: Record and report safety incidents, near-misses, and injuries; participate in investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Safety Training: Coordinate and maintain records of employee safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
PPE Management: Ensure employees are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitor its usage.
Health Program Support: Facilitate workplace health programs, including wellness checks and medical surveillance as required.
Hygiene Standards: Monitor workplace hygiene and ensure compliance with health standards.
Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental legislation such as the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA).
Waste Management: Monitor waste segregation, recycling, and disposal practices.
Sustainability Initiatives: Support company efforts to reduce its environmental impact, such as energy efficiency and water conservation programs.
Documentation Management: Maintain quality control documentation, including audit records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and inspection checklists.
Audits and Inspections: Assist in internal and external quality audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Non-Conformance Management: Record and track non-conformance issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Customer Feedback: Manage records of customer complaints and feedback related to product quality.
Data Management: Maintain SHEQ-related records, including incident reports, compliance certifications, and audit logs.
Reporting: Compile and distribute monthly SHEQ performance reports to management.
Policy Updates: Assist in reviewing and updating SHEQ policies and procedures.
Familiarity with ISO standards, such as ISO 9001 ISO 22000.
Proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, including packaging safety and hygiene standards.
Ensuring safety standards for machinery and equipment used in the production process.
REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 Must have one or more of the following: SAMTRAC (Safety Management Training Course) from NOSA (an added advantage) NEBOSH Certificate (International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety) (an added advantage) SHE Representative or SHE Practitioner Certification (an added advantage) Three + years working experience as a SHEQ Administrator within a packaging Environment (Essential) Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 RUMUNERATION R8,000 To R8,500 (Negotiable On Experience & Qualifications)
