Purpose of Job The SHE Ventilation Recorder is responsible for supporting safe and responsible operations, contributing to the achievement of zero harm and sustainability goals.
This position focuses on identifying and responding to hazards, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and ensuring safety standards are met across the operations.
Key Accountabilities Hazard Identification : Monitor and respond proactively to hazards in the workplace, conducting hazard identification and safety risk assessments.
Incident Investigations : Lead incident investigations and facilitate root cause analyses (RCAs).
Shutdown Planning : Participate in planning and campaigns related to shutdowns.
Service Provider Audits : Engage in audits to ensure compliance with SHE file requirements.
Safety System Audits : Participate in logbook, lockout, and other safety-related audits.
PPE Advice : Provide advice on selecting and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Safety Improvement : Contribute to the development and implementation of the Safety Improvement Plan.
Team Development : Coach and develop team competency and technical skills.
Performance Planning : Ensure the team meets performance targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
Requirements Education and Experience Formal Education : Grade 12 Mine Environmental Control / Occupational Hygiene Certificate Experience : At least 3 years of relevant experience in safety, health, and environmental management within the mining industry.
Required Skills Safety Knowledge : Understanding of SHE policies, procedures, and standards.
Planning and Organization : Strong skills in planning, aligning, and executing safety tasks.
Interpersonal Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving : Ability to identify safety issues, propose improvements, and ensure accountability.
Action-Oriented : Proactive approach to safety and work management.
