Main job function CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB This is a Graduate role and is designed to provide an opportunity to develop skills within Shariah advisory, assurance and oversight in terms of AAOIFI Shariah Standards as interpreted by the relevant Shariah Board Supervisory Board of the Bank.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Review and analyze Islamic financial products and services and prepare executive summary reports. Conduct primary research and prepare a conceptual framework for Shariah compliant design and development/enhancement of specific products. Engage in ongoing research, gather information, and analyze reports on new trends in the Islamic financial sector. Assist in reviewing the Bank's operational policies, procedures, and checklists to ensure Shariah compliance. SHARIAH MEETINGS Provide support in preparing draft agendas, minutes, reports, and submissions for Shariah meetings. Assist in preparing the meeting packs for Shariah meetings. Attend and provide input at Shariah meetings as and when required. SHARIAH AUDITS Assist in performing Shariah compliance audits in accordance with the Internal Shariah Audit's functional plan and/or as required prepare reports for tabling at Shariah Board Meetings. Assist in conducting periodic internal Shariah reviews of product documentation, contracts, application forms, procedures, and any other relevant documentation. GENERAL Assist in all matters related to Shariah compliance of the Bank which requires submission to the Shariah department for review and/or guidance. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Qualification in Shariah Law. Strong research, problem-solving, and communication skills. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. KNOWLEDGE Islamic Commercial Law. Understanding of Islamic finance products. Research analysis skills. General legal, finance, and accounting skills. Computer and information technology literacy. A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
