Key Responsibilities: Ensuring health and safety for yourself and your team during maintenance activities Performing inspections and adhering to Mine Health and Safety Act regulations Conducting pre-work assessments and participating in safety meetings Carrying out basic construction tasks and assisting Artisans with equipment maintenance Supervising Shaft Timberman Assistants and maintaining records of explosive usage Requirements: Onsetter Certificate Blasting Certificate applicable to hard rock mining Minimum of 2 years working experience in a shaft and construction environment Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicants suitability for employment EE Disclaimer: All positions will be filled in accordance with the company's Employment Equity plan.
