The Sales Force Excellence Lead: English Speaking Africa (ESA) will play a pivotal role in driving sales force effectiveness in ESA. This position will lead the development and implementation of strategic sales initiatives and performance measurement to enhance sales productivity and achieve our growth objectives in the ESA market.The role will ensure exceptional sales force productivity, strategic market coverage, and impactful customer engagement.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Sales Planning:Evaluate and enhance sales force productivity, optimizing channel coverage while minimizing costs.Regularly review and analyse performance against these metrics to identify areas for improvement.Sales Force Management:Establish objective assessments of sales force size, structure, and geographic allocation to maximize market penetration.Implement effective segmentation, targeting, and call planning strategies to ensure optimal sales force efficiency.Own the Incentive Policy and its governance, ensuring clear communication and execution of sales incentives.Performance and Targets:Develop, set and monitor ambitious sales targets, ensuring they are aligned with organizational objectives.Implement a robust target setting and monitoring system, coupled with fair incentive schemes to drive sales team performance.Analyse sales data and market insights to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.Customer Engagement and CRM:Enhance customer engagement strategies, leveraging CRM tools to provide personalized customer experiences.Lead the management and optimization of CRM activities, ensuring the sales team's effective use of the tool for maximum impact.Govern multichannel customer engagement planning, ensuring consistency and relevance in customer interactions.Best Practices and Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement industry best practices for sales force excellence, focusing on innovative approaches to meet the dynamic needs of the OTC market.Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance sales capabilities and customer interactions.Facilitate continuous learning and development opportunities for the sales team, enhancing their skills and knowledge in OTC pharmaceuticals.Data Management and Reporting:Standardize data collection, integration, and reporting processes to ensure high-quality insights for decision-making.Track and report sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategic adjustments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and enhance the overall effectiveness of the sales strategy.Training and Development:Track sales force trainings, ensuring compliance with recommended trainings per year.Preferred qualifications & experience:Bachelor's degree in business, data science, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.Experience:Proficiency in data analytics tools (Tableau, MS PowerBI) – MUST HAVEBasic level of coding in Microsoft or in PowerBIExperience with CRM systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) would be an asset.Experience in sales target setting, business intelligence, and analytics within the pharmaceutical or related industry.Required skills & competencies:Strong analytical and strategic thinking skillsExceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, preferably 365, with advanced skills in Excel and pivot tables.A curiosity and interest in the utilization of AI to optimize data management, measurement, and presentation.Project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.Ability to manage third party vendors.Business proficiency in English is a must.Interested in this opportunity?
