Settlement Officer Market Related

Settlement OfficerEstablished fund services team seeks a Settlement Officer to join them. This is a strong and stable team, looking for suitable candidates with no less than 2 years' experience in a similar role within fund services, wealth or similar with experience with international markets, and specifically equities, FX and collective investment schemes.Responsibilities:Capturing / processing, matching and settlement of trades to the accounting systemEnsure trades are matched between client notification and counterparty confirmationEnsure reconciliation of the managers notification and counterparty confirmationSending settlement instructions to custodian for all tradesManaging status of trades and requirementsMaintaining broker settlement details, contact details and brokerage ratesMonitoring of front office trades to ensure STP settlement into the accounting platformCompiling of incident reports and assist in implementing and maintaining process controlsRequirements:Minimum of a completed tertiary qualification either Commerce / Investments / Economics or similarMinimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Settlements role in Fund Services / Investment / Wealth Management environmentSolid understanding of the financial markets and instruments essentialKnowledge and experience on both local and international markets
