RESPONSIBILITIES:TechnicalIdentify, report / rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.)Have an in-depth understanding of Product and its quality criteriaProcess (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding and injection blow moulding)Mould installationTechnical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric)Fault analysis and problem solvingIndependently do fault analysis and problem solving in case of (teamwork as needed)Product quality / Mould issuesMachine SettingIndependently develop machine settingsSet and check that machines are correctly set for each runDocument settings and setting adjustments centrallyManagementLiaise with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to ensure machine availability vs. major maintenance intervalsHave an overview what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager & Production ManagerGive completion dates and fulfill tasks required by Maintenance Manager & Production ManagerStrive for improvement, research and make suggestionsAdministrationLog jobs performedAnalyze Defect Register together with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to improve production resultSparesHealth & Safety Ensure and enforce that aspects in area of responsibility conform to Health and safety requirements.QualityApply the companys quality principles and standardsMaintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)Apply the sites food safety principles and standardsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Matric is a must!Minimum N2 Tool, Jig & Die Trade Theory /Trade Tested (Red Seal) PreferredMB50 setting/ Injection Blow Moulding experience is compulsory5 years relevant Setting experiencePlastics / Packaging /Manufacturing is a must!Sound understanding of drawingsFundamentals of fault finding and equipment testingSound knowledge on H&S and safe working procedures
