Senior Key Account ManagerMarket-related Salary plus commissionJohannesburgJob PurposeThe Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for signing on new customer, maintaining a long-term relationship with existing accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them. This also includes developing new products and product categories for the customer. The Senior Key Account Manager will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the clients are met, and help the clients succeed.Key ResponsibilitiesReach a monthly sales target that is set out by the companyMaintain and improve the allocated business relationships to grow the sales revenue for these accountsResolving key client issues and complaintsSource new customers for the business by means of meetings, visits, cold calling, referrals, etc.Manage new accounts ensuring consistent sales growth according to set targetsDevelop a trusted advisor relationship with customersBuild full knowledge of all products sold so they can be sold effectively based on features and benefitsMonthly forecast of orders and track key account metrics, example stock levels, sales figures achievedCommunicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external departmentsArrange monthly promotions of company products with customers. This includes all tasks required to ensure that the promotion is a successProduct Research and presentation preparationListing new products with customersMaintain high customer satisfaction ratingsComplete contact reports for all meetings heldQualifications and Experience5+ years previous work experience in key account management, specifically dealing with the South African Chain stores in GMDHave an existing customer base to sign up for new businessBasic computer skills, and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel and PowerPoint skillsAble to analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
