Description: Course number and title: GLA2096H European Governance and Policy Experiential Course
Course description: MGA students will be selected to participate in an experiential course in Brussels, Belgium during the winter reading week (February 17-21). Students will be required to write a policy paper on a topic related to European governance and policy. Students will interview EU officials during the trip and use their research for the policy paper.
Class schedule: February 17-21
*The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.
Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 - April 30, 2025
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in international relations or similar.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience working in European affairs. Must have connections to officials in the EU or similar. Applicant must be able to travel to Brussels during the winter reading week.
Description of duties: Selecting students to participate in the course, assisting students in scheduling meetings with EU officials, setting up meet and greets with EU officials, grading final policy papers.
