Students will explore both contemporary issues in Canadian higher education and consider the historical contexts from which they emerged.Class Schedule: Wednesdays, 11:00 am – 1:00 pmSessional Dates of Appointment: 1 January 2025 to 30 April 2025 (Winter semester)Salary: $9,457.90 (Sessional Lecturer 1) $9,930.79 (Sessional Lecturer 1 – Long Term) $10,121.77 (Sessional Lecturer 2) $10,326.62 (Sessional Lecturer 2 – Long Term) $10,362.76 (Sessional Lecturer 3) $10,570.02 (Sessional Lecturer 3 – Long Term)Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree required in Social Sciences or Humanities.Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in progress or completed either in Canadian Studies or any cognate field. Demonstrated teaching and research expertise on issues relating to higher education in Canada is preferred. Demonstrated evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching is preferred.
